INMETRO requires extensive Brazilian-domestic safety testing (15-25 business days). Pre-approved factory batches reduce time but full pre-clearance not possible.

Brazil ethanol compatibility?

Brazil mandates flex-fuel engines (gasoline + E25 ethanol blend). Required modification for ICE/PHEV models. Pure BEV exempt.

Brazil import tax?

Standard CBU 35% import duty. ICMS state tax 12-18%. IPI 7-25% (engine size). Total effective duty 60-80%.
