About the Brand
Who is Denza?
Denza began life in 2010 as a BYD and Daimler joint venture and was relaunched in 2021 as BYD's premium brand after BYD took majority control. The D9 MPV made it a genuine success — repeatedly one of China's best-selling premium MPVs — and the range has since widened into executive SUVs and a performance shooting brake.
Denza's international rollout started in 2025, led by Europe, where the Z9GT was the launch model, and by Southeast Asia, where Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong took the D9 MPV early. The Middle East is also on the map. Coverage is still much narrower than the main BYD brand and specification differs by region, so confirm your country and trim with us before ordering.
