About this model

Where the Haval H6 sits in the market

The Haval H6 is the single highest-volume SUV nameplate China has produced, and the third generation launched in 2020 remains Great Wall Motor's global anchor product. It is a 4,703 mm mid-size SUV on a 2,738 mm wheelbase, offered with 1.5T and 2.0T petrol engines, a 179 kW self-charging hybrid and plug-in hybrids up to 269 kW with the Hi4 all-wheel-drive system.

For an importer, the H6's value is that almost nothing about it is unknown. GWM assembles it in Thailand, Malaysia, Pakistan, Iran, Brazil and Uzbekistan and retails it in Australia, South Africa, Mexico, the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam, so homologation precedents and parts supply exist across most of the developing world. It competes with the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4 on size and equipment at a substantially lower price.

What an importer must know about the Haval H6

LHD standard; GWM supplies right-hand-drive H6 to Australia, South Africa, Thailand and Malaysia through its own distributors, but RHD availability is not confirmed for every powertrain variant — verify before quoting. Because GWM assembles this model in seven countries, check whether your destination is served by a GWM plant or distributor first: where it is, the manufacturer's channel holds the warranty and you would be competing with it. PHEV battery size differs sharply by market (27.54 kWh to 45 kWh), so confirm which pack and which electric range applies to the units you are quoting.

Which H6 powertrain should I lead with in my market? +
In markets with cheap fuel and price-sensitive buyers, the 1.5T petrol at 126 kW. Where fuel is expensive, the 1.5L DHT hybrid is the stronger product: 179 kW and 530 Nm combined with meaningfully lower consumption and no charging requirement. The plug-in hybrids suit markets with some charging availability and buyers who want performance — the Hi4 all-wheel-drive version reaches 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds.
Is the H6 already assembled near my market? +
Great Wall builds the H6 in China, Thailand, Malaysia, Pakistan, Iran, Brazil and Uzbekistan. If your destination is close to one of those plants, homologation precedent and parts supply are usually already in place, which shortens your lead time and lowers your service risk. It also means GWM may have its own distributor there — send us the country and we will confirm the position before you order.
What is the difference between the H6 and the H6S? +
The H6S, also sold as the H6 GT, is the coupé-SUV version on a longer 4,714 mm body with a wider 1,940 mm track and a sloping roofline. Mechanically it shares the standard car's engines. It suits markets where buyers want a sportier look and accept slightly less rear headroom. We can quote both on the same order if you want to test which sells better in your showroom.
