Haval Jolion
Why this model
What makes the Haval Jolion worth importing
Built for export, not adapted for it
The Jolion was sold in China for one year only and is otherwise an export-market product. Its equipment levels and specification were set with overseas buyers in mind from the start.
Assembled in seven countries
China, Russia, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Indonesia and Sri Lanka all build the Jolion. Few Chinese compact SUVs have a wider local-assembly footprint.
375 Nm hybrid in a compact SUV
The DHT hybrid produces 140 kW and 375 Nm — strong for the class, and the reason the Jolion has taken share from Japanese compact SUVs in Australia and Thailand.
Light at 1,370 kg
Low kerb weight keeps fuel consumption and tyre costs down, which matters to the fleet and ride-hailing buyers who make up a large part of this segment.

A dash means the manufacturer does not publish that figure for this version — we do not estimate it. Range standards differ: CLTC and NEDC read higher than WLTP for the same car, so compare like with like when quoting against a European rival.

About this model
Where the Haval Jolion sits in the market
The Jolion is Great Wall's compact SUV and, unusually, a model built primarily for export — it was sold in China for a single year before becoming an overseas-focused product. At 4,472 mm on a 2,700 mm wheelbase it sits directly against the Chery Tiggo 7, MG ZS and Toyota Corolla Cross, with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine and a 140 kW DHT hybrid producing 375 Nm.
Its export credentials are unusually strong: assembly in China, Russia, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Indonesia and Sri Lanka, with retail in Australia, South Africa, Mexico, the Philippines, Vietnam and parts of Europe. For a dealer, this is a car designed around what export customers want rather than a domestic model shipped abroad, and the hybrid version competes credibly with Japanese rivals on both economy and torque.
Facelifted in 2024, when the 1.5T petrol was re-rated to 105 kW. Primarily an export model — it was sold in China only during 2021.
Before you order
What an importer must know about the Haval Jolion
LHD standard; GWM sells right-hand-drive Jolion officially in Australia, South Africa, Thailand and Sri Lanka, so factory RHD exists — confirm which variants are available in RHD before quoting. Note the 2024 facelift re-rated the 1.5T from 110 kW to 105 kW, so figures quoted from older material may not match the car delivered. With assembly in seven countries, check whether GWM has a plant or distributor in your destination before committing, since that determines both competition and warranty coverage.
