Li Auto L6
Why this model
What makes the Li L6 worth importing
The car that made Li Auto a volume brand
Launched in April 2024 as the cheapest L-series model, the L6 immediately became Li Auto's best seller and passed 200,000 deliveries within nine months. High volume means mature production and strong parts supply.
LFP battery, unlike the rest of the range
The L6 uses lithium iron phosphate where the L7 and L9 use NMC. LFP tolerates heat and repeated fast charging far better, which suits hot export markets and fleet use.
300 kW, and 212 or 300 km of electric range
Dual motors give 300 kW and 529 Nm through all-wheel drive, with 0–100 km/h in 5.4 seconds. The first generation covers 212 km CLTC on battery alone; the 2026 second generation raises that to 300 km on a 51 kWh pack.
Range-extender means no charging dependency
The 1.5-litre turbo engine only generates electricity — it never drives the wheels. The car always drives as an EV but needs no charging network at all, with 1,390 km CLTC combined on the first generation.

A dash means the manufacturer does not publish that figure for this version — we do not estimate it. Range standards differ: CLTC and NEDC read higher than WLTP for the same car, so compare like with like when quoting against a European rival.

About this model
Where the Li L6 sits in the market
The L6 is Li Auto's entry model and its highest-volume car. The first generation, launched in April 2024, is a 4,925 mm five-seat SUV on a 2,920 mm wheelbase, pairing a 36.8 kWh CATL LFP battery with a 1.5-litre turbo generator and dual motors producing 300 kW and 529 Nm, for 212 km of CLTC electric range and 1,390 km CLTC combined. The second generation, launched in July 2026, moves to a 51 kWh Sunwoda LFP pack rated 300 km CLTC electric and 1,250 km combined on a slightly longer body.
It is the only L-series car with LFP chemistry, which matters for export: LFP handles heat and frequent fast charging far better than the NMC packs in the L7 and L9, making it the more durable choice for hot markets and high-mileage fleet duty. The range-extender layout means the car drives as an electric vehicle but requires no charging infrastructure. Li Auto runs no official export programme, so every destination is parallel-export with warranty and service arranged locally.
Li Auto's entry model, launched April 2024. Five seats rather than the six of the larger L-series cars, and the only one with an LFP battery. A second generation followed on 16 July 2026 with a 51 kWh Sunwoda LFP pack and 300 km CLTC electric range on a 4,935 mm body weighing 2,520 kg. The dimensions and kerb weight recorded here are the first generation, which Wikipedia gives as 2,330–2,345 kg.
Before you order
What an importer must know about the Li L6
LHD; right-hand-drive is not documented — Li Auto has focused entirely on the Chinese market. No official export programme exists, so all destinations are parallel-export with warranty and service arranged locally. Charging is GB/T on China-market cars. The range-extender runs as a hybrid when the battery is depleted, so it functions with no charging at all. Two generations are now in circulation and they are not interchangeable: the 2024–2026 first generation has 36.8 kWh, 212 km CLTC electric and a 2,330–2,345 kg kerb weight, while the July 2026 second generation has 51 kWh, 300 km CLTC electric, a 4,935 mm body and 2,520 kg — state the generation and model year on every quote. Note also that the L6 is five-seat while the L7, L8 and L9 are six-seat — confirm which the customer actually needs.
Market fit
Where the Li L6 sells
Based on documented export presence and how the vehicle suits local conditions — not a guarantee of homologation, which we confirm per market before you order.
Middle East
LFP chemistry suits Gulf heat, and the range-extender removes any dependence on charging infrastructure.
Central Asia
Long distances with no charging network — 1,390 km CLTC combined on the first generation covers them without planning.
Southeast Asia
Premium SUV demand rising and LFP tolerates the year-round heat and humidity.
Russia and the CIS
Cold weather where a range-extender avoids the winter range collapse that affects pure battery cars.
