Li Auto L7
Why this model
What makes the Li L7 worth importing
Three-metre wheelbase in a five-seat layout
5,050 mm long on a 3,005 mm wheelbase but configured for five rather than six. Rear passengers get limousine space instead of a third row.
620 Nm and 330 kW
330 kW (449 PS) through dual motors and all-wheel drive, 0–100 km/h in 5.3 seconds. Genuinely quick for a large family SUV, and the torque is delivered instantly.
286 km electric on the Max and Ultra
The 52.3 kWh pack is rated 286 km CLTC on battery alone and 1,421 km CLTC combined — well over a week of normal driving before the generator is needed at all.
Li Auto defined this segment
The L-series created China's range-extender SUV category and still leads it. The engineering is mature and the production volume is large.

A dash means the manufacturer does not publish that figure for this version — we do not estimate it. Range standards differ: CLTC and NEDC read higher than WLTP for the same car, so compare like with like when quoting against a European rival.

About this model
Where the Li L7 sits in the market
The L7 is the five-seat member of Li Auto's L-series — 5,050 mm on a 3,005 mm wheelbase, using NMC batteries of 40.9, 42.8 or 52.3 kWh with a 1.5-litre turbo generator and dual motors producing 330 kW and 620 Nm. Electric range runs from 210 km CLTC on the earliest cars to 286 km on the 52.3 kWh Max and Ultra, with up to 1,421 km CLTC combined, and every version reaches 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds at a kerb weight of 2,450–2,500 kg.
The five-seat configuration is the point: it has close to the L9's footprint but devotes the space to rear-seat comfort rather than a third row, with reclining seats, a refrigerator and dual-chamber air suspension since the May 2025 update. Li Auto created China's range-extender SUV segment and still leads it, so the engineering is mature and volumes are high. There is no official export programme, so parallel-export applies with warranty and service arranged locally.
The five-seat variant of Li Auto's mid-size L-series. The March 2024 facelift renamed the Air/Pro/Max trims to Pro/Max/Ultra and introduced the 42.8 kWh Sunwoda and 52.3 kWh CATL packs; the range was updated again in May 2025, when the Max moved to the 52.3 kWh pack and dual-chamber air suspension became standard.
Before you order
What an importer must know about the Li L7
LHD; right-hand-drive is not documented — Li Auto builds only for China. No official export programme, so parallel-export applies with no manufacturer warranty abroad. Charging is GB/T. Three battery versions have been sold and they are easy to confuse: 40.9 kWh on 2023–2024 cars, then 42.8 kWh Sunwoda on the Pro and 52.3 kWh CATL on the Max and Ultra — confirm the pack, not just the trim name, because the Max moved from 42.8 to 52.3 kWh in May 2025. Kerb weight is 2,450–2,500 kg, which is worth checking against local licence categories. NMC chemistry on the L7 degrades faster than the L6's LFP under frequent fast charging and high heat — worth noting for hot-climate fleet buyers, where the L6 may actually serve better despite being the cheaper car. The range-extender needs no charging to function.
