Effectively the successor. Audi renamed its Chinese long-wheelbase compact executive line from A4L to A5L in 2025, with a new generation of the car. Both are FAW Audi products with China-specific extended bodies. Export listings use the names inconsistently and sometimes interchangeably, so we identify the exact model, generation and model year on the invoice before production.

How much bigger is it than a European A4? +

Roughly 75 mm longer, and the A5L adds 28 degrees of rear-seat recline that the European car does not have. All the extra length goes into the rear compartment. In a compact executive sedan, where rear space is normally the weak point, that change is genuinely meaningful — it turns the car from a driver's sedan into one that works for chauffeur use.

Will parts be available in my market? +

Generally yes, better than for most cars on this site.
