About the AITO M9
The M9 is AITO's flagship and the best-selling full-size luxury SUV in China, with more than 300,000 units delivered by mid-2026 — a figure that puts it ahead of the BMW X5 and Mercedes GLE in their own segment. It is 5,230 mm long on a 3,110 mm wheelbase, seating six, as a range-extender with up to 290 km of electric range and 1,474 km CLTC combined, or as a battery-electric car with 100 kWh and 630 km CLTC. The second generation from 2026 raises this to a 120 kWh Qilin pack and 664 kW.

Common questions
What duty does Uzbekistan charge on a plug-in hybrid / erev and battery electric AITO M9?
Customs duty (battery electric) at 0.0% of CIF, Customs duty (hybrid / plug-in, ≤1 year from production) at 15.0% of CIF. On top of that: Excise tax at 0.0%, VAT at 12.0%. Assessed on: Customs value; treatment is derived from HS code, origin, sending country and trading country. Import VAT is charged on customs value + customs duty + excise (Tax Code Art. 254); the utilisation fee and customs clearance fee are fixed BRV amounts outside that base. Rates last checked 2026-09-26.
Does the AITO M9 avoid any Uzbekistan charges because of its powertrain?
Yes. Uzbekistan applies Customs duty, % part only (new ≤1 year) — plus US$0.4–1.25 per cm³, NOT included (15.0%), Customs duty, % part only (used) — plus US$3 per cm³, NOT included (40.0%) to other powertrains, but not to a plug-in hybrid / erev and battery electric vehicle. That is the practical reason powertrain choice changes landed cost in this market, not just running cost.
What is the landed cost of a AITO M9 in Uzbekistan?
It depends on your FOB price, freight and insurance. Uzbekistan assesses on: Customs value; treatment is derived from HS code, origin, sending country and trading country. Import VAT is charged on customs value + customs duty + excise (Tax Code Art. 254); the utilisation fee and customs clearance fee are fixed BRV amounts outside that base. Put your own numbers into our landed-cost calculator with Uzbekistan preselected and it returns the full duty, levy and VAT stack with the source for every rate. We do not publish a single landed figure because freight is your number, not ours.
