Export the Deepal L07 to Ghana

What Ghana charges on a battery electric (bev) and plug-in hybrid / erev

Assessed on: CIF value; duty band is set by engine size for combustion vehicles.

Charge Rate Calculated on
Import duty (EV incentive rate) 5.0–15.0% CIF value
VAT 17.5% CIF plus duty and levies
NHIL 2.5% CIF plus duty and levies

What this powertrain avoids

Ghana applies these charges to other powertrains, but not to a battery electric (bev) and plug-in hybrid / erev:

  • · Import duty — 35.0–45.0% on CIF value
The EV band is the whole reason a Chinese BEV or EREV can land near an ICE SUV in Ghana. That advantage rides entirely on a government incentive, so confirm the current rate before you quote a retail customer, not after.
